Compliance Officer & In-House Counsel

Albert Satcher is the Compliance Officer & In-House Counsel for SpecialCare Hospital Management. His primary area of responsibility is the oversight and administration of SpecialCare’s Corporate Compliance Program and adherence with all applicable State and Federal healthcare laws. In accordance with the Compliance Program, Mr. Satcher oversees all compliance activity including but not limited to annual compliance training, the Code of Conduct, internal auditing and monitoring, and the development and administration of the company’s policies and procedures. Mr. Satcher serves as the chair of the Corporate Compliance Committee and is the primary point of contact for any compliance related concerns related to the business.

Mr. Satcher has more than 15 years of legal, regulatory, and healthcare compliance experience in a variety of legal and compliance roles. Through this experience he has developed expertise in a range of State and Federal healthcare rules and regulations, concentrating primarily in the areas of HIPAA, Privacy and Fraud, Waste and Abuse. Albert has particularly extensive knowledge in the areas of Medicare and Medicaid Managed Care and has worked closely with Federal and State officials in his previous legal and compliance roles.

Mr. Satcher is a graduate of Northwestern University School of Law (JD), Washington University in St. Louis Olin Business School (MBA), and the University of Alabama (BA). He is Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) by the Health Care Compliance Association and is a licensed attorney accepted to the Illinois & Missouri Bars.
